CoinHive is a liquidity staking and lending platform built for the Filecoin ecosystem, helping users manage FIL assets, track rewards, and participate in the node ecosystem.
From brand identity to the DeFi product experience, I built a complete design language for a Filecoin liquid staking platform.
Starting from scratch, I designed the brand identity, website, core product interfaces, and motion experiences—turning complex on-chain financial information into a clear, trustworthy, and intuitive digital experience.
Starting with the logo
I designed a streamlined brand mark for CoinHive, using repeated vertical forms to represent nodes, connectivity, and the flow of value. The visual also references the Filecoin ecosystem while echoing the hive-like structure behind the name.
A deep navy foundation, blue-to-violet gradients, and soft ambient glows convey stability, trust, and a sense of technology. The website and product share a unified color palette, rounded card system, and information hierarchy, creating a seamless experience from product discovery to action.

The homepage establishes CoinHive’s visual identity through a clear hierarchy and modular layout. I created distinctive visual elements for each key section, helping communicate different functions and concepts while keeping the overall experience consistent. Complex DeFi information is organized into focused sections—from staking and node participation to rewards, partners, and audits—making the experience easier to scan, understand, and trust.
Staking Page
The staking page brings APY, asset balance, pool status, and key actions into a single view, allowing users to make decisions and execute transactions without switching contexts.
Clear input fields, quick amount selectors, and transaction summaries reduce interaction friction, while visualized pool data helps users quickly understand asset distribution and where their returns come from.
ROI Calculator
The ROI calculator provides return estimates in a lightweight modal, keeping the main staking flow focused and uninterrupted.
Users can enter a staking amount and duration to see projected returns update in real time, with quick-select options making setup faster and creating a smooth transition into the staking action.
Lending Page
The lending page brings together interest rate curves, pool utilization, and key metrics to help users understand current market conditions.
Visual charts and contextual guidance simplify complex interest rate mechanics, allowing users to quickly assess the lending environment and make informed decisions.
FAQ & Footer
The FAQ uses a simple accordion structure to organize common questions and reduce information overload, allowing users to quickly find key answers without leaving the page.
The footer brings together documentation, legal information, community channels, and essential navigation in a clear structure, providing a consistent and accessible endpoint to the overall experience.
